how we chinese celebrate CHINESE NEW YEAR! ok fine the right title should be how I CELEBRATED MY CHINESE NEW YEAR this year... very veryyyyyy outdated i know.. but hey! its better late than never right?? *winks* so finally my internet is being less crappy so i managed to upload alot ALOT of pics for this post... and oh!before that, few minutes ago Earth Hour 2011 is over... i LOVE Earth Hours cuz thats like the only...yes the ONLY hour in the whole year that my mum allows all the lights to be off during the night to watch tv nyeheheheh..XD besides that we are doing our part to save Earth ma... felt so bangga of myself muahaha... anyway continue on to the main topic.. so typically almost 99% of chinese people celebrate cny in their kampung... and unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I am in the remaining 1%.. unfortunate cuz i dont get this 'balik kampung fever' like my friends and people around me fortunate cuz i dont need to pack stuff/get worried that something will happen to my house when i am away... so!! the eve of cny me n my parents went to eat reunion dinner... its a tradition as most of you may know... so off we went to our usual spot Victoria Station Subang Jaya...  -the logo thing on the train- -we sat next to the train btw so nice!-  -parents' failed to coordinate their pose- ps: my dad is not a huge fan of taking pics, so i wonder where i inherited all my syok sendiri-ness from..XD- the food:::  - bread and butter as starters-  - my fish and chips-  -mum and dad's chicken maryland- we reach like 9pm to the restaurant... tot will full house but turns out still not-so-filled-up tho compared to previous years.. maybe cuz of economy meltdown? my parents are so damn lucky wey.. so happen dat time i was working so i manage to have some money to belanja them this year!!! WOOTS!!!=D parents happy MAX!   -the restaurant- to those who have wondered why till now also haven see ANY SYOK SENDIRI PICS OF MINE.. THIS IS FOR YOU!=p  -pic taken by dad- . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1st day of cny! woke up quite early to get ready, make up etc to go to my grandaunt's house in Jalan Pudu for lunch!  - showing you my new shoes- -bought from vincci- another thing i love about cny is NO TRAFFIC JAM!!!! smooth ride to KL cuz as i have said 99% of people around me BALIK-ED KAMPUNG!^^ my grandaunt's house is as old as national treasure i guess... its like those houses that are on the second floor where below are all the cha chan teng and chinese shops...get what i mean?? i get to eat all the cookies/biscuits/sweets i want there hehe...   -all the goodies-  -my grandaunt's house- -it has a HUGE MIRROR man!good for people like me..^^v- 2nd day- i went to three houses that day. early in the morning i popped by my pastor's house before heading to my grandma's house..then after the sun sets we went to Uncle John's house! all day partying..XD  -my pastor's granddaughter- -and also pastor's wife and my mum at the background- around 12pm we head off to Desa Parkcity to my grandma's house...  -beautiful flowers- -they are real!-  -my cousins asked my to take a pic of this- -the cake is made by my cousin, Carmen-  -behind- my aunt n Brian- -front- me and Carmen- so at night we came back to subang... sorry i only got one pic from the 3rd party.. which is this! . . . . . .  - i think its XO- no la not i drink...my dad drank it.. i guess the only alcohol my parents let me swallow is red wine..-.-..nvm... 3rd day- went to visit my another aunt.. she brought us to dinner around klang! full house summore have to book table and wait for like an hour b4 the food came...   -one of the dish- sorry lah!was too hungry din bother to take any pics... plus there are like so many adults gawking at me taking out my fon to snap the above pic so i also very paiseh to take summore..  -alas the main door of the restauranrt- -feel free to zoom in to see the name- then pathetically i spent 5 days of my cny working.. no double pay dam sad...T.T then finally on saturday i went to klcc n visit my yi ma..^^ i love going to visit her cuz i get to eat good food...not to mention a big ehem ang pau..=p i am pampered by a good lunch AND also a dinner... bought these bento sets from Isetan.. not bad wey!   -the bento sets for my family- i guess my family is the last family in malaysia to eat yee sang on this year's cny.. we ate it on the last day cuz everybody was so buzy working.. but thank God still manage to grab the yee sang before cny ends haha...  so this is how I celebrated my cny this year! and its basically how i celebrate every year la (well minus the work part)... anyways i hope this loooong post will not make u asleep haha bear with me and my constant rantling...XD thats it!chao...^^ Wednesday, March 16, 2011
FULL HOUSE DINNER  WOOTS! finally i am mange to muster up enough mood to update my blog ha! and finally i get to update something that is not outdated..-.- well nowadays life's quite busy for me la.. u know i have work, scholarships to apply, uni to register etc etc etc... but then, i manage to keep some time out, and persuade Mr. Joshua Kau to take me out for dinner haha~!! he's being super nice, and not to mention very generous cuz he has a job now! higher paying than mine summore...-.-... so it all started with this fb post that i posted on his wall,   ps: i was actually expecting him to buy me a bowl of noodles n milo ice...but i din noe he was being so EXTRAORDINARILY GENEROUS so i took advantage...oops!=p ok so after planning like so many weeks we finally went to full house last saturday!!! yippie was so excited cuz i wanted to eat in full house for a very long time d but din get a chance to..>< the day started when Joshua cam to my house to pick me at 5pm... he was LATE...-.- but anyway it was pouring heavily la, the rain stopped the moment he came tho... then off we went to carrefour ktm to pick up Esther n her bro... and we reached pyramid earlier than expected tim! so...we entered the restaurant...   -in the restaurant- -we got to sit way inside, so means less noise and less people- one thing about full house i really salute is the atmosphere... omg everything is white, nice interior decor of cuz, and alot of cute little things too!  -the wall decor- -apparently Full House has a story, go Google it!-  - the wallpapers so nice- -as u can see all the furniture are white-  ok so time to order our food::: the menu is....oh-mai-gawd-so-damn-many-things-and-nice-picture... so frankly i just wanna eat EVERYTHING the menu has to offer...-.- below is Esther, long time church friend..and long time no see her..  - you wouldn't believe me if i told u she more syok sendiri compared to me-  -boys ordering- -say hi to Joshua Chin aka Esther's bro (left) and Joshua Kau (right)-    -the creative and very nice menu- -got comic tim!- cant really decide what to eat tho.. so i sticked to my usual spaghetti... i heard from my bffs Yeeingng and Weiwei that Full House creator is from Inti??? i seriously dunno i read somewhere the owner is Korean.. ok after a short wait the food came!!!!! *drum roll* . . . . . .  -these are our drinks- -from left: my honey lemon ceylon tea, Esther and bro's honeydew bubbletea, Joshua's orange juice-  -my Alfredo spaghetti- -its abit like cabonara but alil diff, dunno how to say- -but its awesome MAX!-  -Esther's chicken chop- -i tasted a bite, not bad- so me, Esther and her bro started eating and Joshua aka the host awaits his food 'patiently' and finally it came!  -saw the fork?- *the hungry ghost was in front of me n cant even wait for me to snap a pic..-.-* -its also chicken la but i din take note of the name- we ate, talked, laughed and crave for some desserts... so pay time!  -Joshua and the receipt which he's goina keep to commemorate the first time belanja-ing people- well actually quite paiseh also la cuz we overbudget abit...the budget was like rm100 only but we forgot the tax...so...overbudget by rm10++ i think... however its was still early so Esther decided to treat us with ice cream from Chocolate Lounge!!! its 90% the same like Mcd icecream, but in my opinion its better !! got chocolate flakes on the vanilla icecream, although its more expensive by 50cents... no pics on that sorry, was so absorbed to the icecream..XD all in all we had a great night together! with good food and good restaurant haha!!^^ Hope to see them again soon!=D |
